On the Energy-Inertial Mass Relation: II. Kinematic and Geometrical Aspects
نویسنده
چکیده
Kinematic and geometrical aspects of the connection between energy and inertial mass are considered. Transformations of coordinate and time are obtained in a two-dimensional flat space. For this case the Euclidean, pseudo-Euclidean and Galilean kinematics are considered. A new interval in a flat fourdimensional anisotropic Finsler space is found. Under certain assumptions the known results follow from the derived relations.

Comparison of Different Loop Bioreactors Based on Hydrodynamic Characteristics, Mass Transfer, Energy Consumption and Biomass Production from Natural Gas
The performance of a forced-liquid Vertical Tubular Loop Bioreactor (VTLB), a forced-liquid Horizontal Tubular Loop Bioreactor (HTLB) and a gas-induced External Airlift Loop Bioreactor (EALB) were compared for production of biomass from natural gas. Hydrodynamic characteristics and mass transfer coefficients were determined as functions of design parameters, physical properties of gases as ...
متن کاملThe Effect of Geometrical Characteristics of Desiccant Wheel on its Performance
Desiccant wheels are widely used in buildings to control humidity and reduce energy consumption. A model is presented based on transient coupled heat and mass transfer, to model, design and analyze the effects of geometrical characteristics of a honeycombed rotary desiccant wheel and its performance. Governing equations are solved numerically using finite volume method and the model is validate...
متن کاملRock mass structural data analysis using image processing techniques (Case study: Choghart iron ore mine northern slopes)
Presence of joints and fractures in rocks strongly influences the behavior of the rock mass by dividing the media into smaller units. These structures intensify the potential instability besides the development of sliding and rotational movements. The assumption of discontinuum media changes the whole analysis conditions in relation to the continuum analysis. Acquisition of geometrical and stru...
متن کاملApplication of Wavelet Neural Network in Forward Kinematics Solution of 6-RSU Co-axial Parallel Mechanism Based on Final Prediction Error
Application of artificial neural network (ANN) in forward kinematic solution (FKS) of a novel co-axial parallel mechanism with six degrees of freedom (6-DOF) is addressed in Current work. The mechanism is known as six revolute-spherical-universal (RSU) and constructed by 6-RSU co-axial kinematic chains in parallel form. First, applying geometrical analysis and vectorial principles the kinematic...
متن کاملEinstein on mass and energy
This paper explores the evolution of Einstein’s understanding of mass and energy. Early on, Einstein embraced the idea of a speed-dependent mass but changed his mind in 1906 and thereafter carefully avoided that notion entirely. He shunned, and explicitly rejected, what later came to be known as “relativistic mass.” Nonetheless many textbooks and articles credit him with the relation E=mc2, whe...
